Redbud Texture Painting is a 11X7 trial painting based on my photo "Redbud Texture". I was almost as focused on the bark as the blooms.Wondering if a softer background with the vivid blooms would be easier on the eye? Comments always appreciated.

I quite like this composition Warren - very easy on the eye as is. The background does melt into the back and leaves the bark and blooms to talk to you, so I think it is soft enough. Possibly a few more dark 'channels' 'ridges' in the bark would help it stand out more or make the background recede even more. Like it muchly.
