Description
14X10 Watercolor- A Blue Flag Iris among the Grass along the Rainbow River in central Florida. I could have done a more abstract background but chose to paint the grasses. A white background might have worked as well.

No, I wouldn't darken the background. I love it as is. The colors are just lovely and so delicate. This will make a beautiful Spring painting!!
